Water & Wastewater Emergency Response Planning

We are well recognized for our expertise preparing emergency response plans and training based on the number of projects complete over the past several years. Our work with Niagara Region was adopted by the Province of Ontario as one of the initial sample guides for water & wastewater emergency response planning. Our approach is unique. The emergency response plans we develop are based on a review of the operations and designed to suit the specific characteristics and management of each system and follows a process that promotes employee awareness, feedback and buy-in. The plans typically include stand-alone action based procedures to address identified emergency situations plus a front end that discusses various aspects of emergency response related to the client’s system.

We successfully completed the Water System Emergency Response Plan for the City of Chilliwack, updated the Hamilton Water Emergency Response Plan and prepared six (6) sets of Emergency Instructions for the City of Hamilton and also facilitated the City’s Emergency Response Drill. We also planned and coordinated a hands on field emergency response drill for Niagara Region and the of Fort Erie dealing with Possible Contamination of the Rosehill Water Treatment Plant
